Deputies arrested three people and seized 68 gambling machines in connection to an illegal gambling investigation in Edinburg, according to a news release from the Hidalgo County Sheriff’s Office.
Investigators executed a search warrant at a building located on State Highway 107 west of Farm-to-Market 493 Wednesday afternoon.
Upon arrival, deputies seized 68 gambling machines and about $7,900 in cash, according to the news release.
During the raid, three people were arrested and charged:
Mirna Gomez, 46.

{>} Possession of a gambling device/equipment/paraphernalia
Her bond was set at $30,000.
Hector Garza, 44.

{>} Promotion of a gambling place
{>} Possession of a gambling device/equipment/paraphernalia
His bond was set at $30,000.
Michael Morse, 37.
{>} Possession of a controlled substance
{>} Prohibited weapon
His bond was set at $15,000.
All three remained in the Hidalgo County jail Thursday evening and could not be reached for comment.
