CHESTER COUNTY, Pa. —Three people have been charged with illegal gambling in Chester County.

The Chester County District Attorney’s Office said a father, daughter, and uncle placed illegal machines in two businesses.

The DA said the three took in over $37,000.

These types of gambling machines are illegal in Pennsylvania because they can be easily set up to rarely, if ever, pay out.

News 8 checked with the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board. We’re told there are thousands of these machines around the state.

The Gaming Control Board gives out millions of dollars a year in casino revenue to police to crack down on these machines.
