BORGER, TX (KFDA) –
Two people are arrested following a raid at an illegal casino in Borger.

On Thursday at 7 p.m., the Borger Police Department and the Hutchinson County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at 601 N. Florida St. The location is commonly known as “CC’s” and has been the subject of investigations and warrants in the past. Police suspected the establishment was paying cash winnings, which is a violation of state law.

Jeanne Sue Ellis was arrested and charged with gambling promotion, a Class A misdemeanor. Kimberly Ann Hastings was also arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance, a state jail felony.

During the raid, officers seized computers that operated the gambling machines and money. Forfeiture will be filed with the District Attorney’s Office for the currency. If it is awarded, the money will be used for training and equipment pursuant to state law.

The Borger Police Department said Amarillo National Bank, Wells Fargo and Robert Vinyard Locksmith assisted in the warrant and provided materials needed for the investigation.
