MINGO JUNCTION, Ohio — A local business was shut down during an illegal gambling investigation.
It happened so suddenly that city officials were not aware until it happened. However, some residents say it’s been a long time coming.
It happened around 9:30 a.m. Mingo Junction police, along with the FBI, BCI and Jefferson County Drug Task Force arrived at Minch’s in Mingo Junction. Police Chief Joe Sagun says there were reports of illegal gambling going on in that building.
No arrests were made today and no charges have been filed. However, items were taken from the business. The evidence will be examined by BCI and the FBI. It is still under investigation.
