News | June 22nd, 2016

Residents at a Stockton home were caught operating a makeshift casino.

According to the Stockton Police Department, the casino was found during a follow-up investigation by the US Marshals Pacific Southwest Regional Fugitive Task Force (PSWRFTF), Stockton PD’s Gang Violence Suppression Unit, Parole and Corrections Team, and AB109 Task Force. The makeshift casino was equipped with numerous slot machines and craps tables.

During the follow-up search at the house — located at 2009 S. San Joaquin — officers found Benddy Carolino, 38, in a bedroom.

As officers were clearing the house they located Benddy Carolino, a 38 year old man, in a bedroom. Near Carolino was a loaded handgun and a loaded magazine for an assault rifle.

Officers wrote a search warrant for the house and located another loaded handgun, a loaded Mini 14 assault rifle, and approximately 1.5 pounds of crystal methamphetamine. The County-Wide Metro Narcotics Unit responded for the narcotics and the Stockton PD’s Vice Unit responded for the casino gaming equipment.

Carolino was arrested on narcotics sales and firearms charges. He was booked into the San Joaquin County Jail.
